Appearance

Typically jet-black with a fine, even texture, Gaboon Ebony has high natural luster and little to no visible grain. Dark brown or gray brown variations of this elegant wood are sometimes found, highlighting its straight, subtle grain markings.

Resistance

Incredibly dense and very durable, Gaboon Ebony is a strong wood, with a good resistance rating.

Scent

Gaboon Ebony has a mild odor while being cut and refined, but no noticeable scent once dry and properly finished.
